Commodore 64 rebuild - of the 71374 NES Lego set
On this page I present a Commodore 64 rebuild of the 71374 Lego NES. The original Lego set contains a Nintendo gaming computer with a TV for display. It is delivered with a Lego version of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) featureing the Mario Brothers.
I would have preferred a Lego version of the Commodore 64 featuring The Great Giana Sisters, but this tuned out fine.
C64 rebuild from the NES bricks
Lego C64 rebrick/rebiuld/upgrade by Stig Synnes 2024.08.11, using only bricks from disassembling the console of Lego 71374 NES.
I opted for a full keyboard, and let a 1-brick Lego correspond to 1 keyboard key, resulting in a set slightly smaller than scale 1:2. I have included all the peripheral ports, though I chose to enlarge the Cartridge port to reuse the printed brick.

Other C64 Lego builds
I was able to find a variety of unofficial Commodore 64 Lego builds online, including a fullscale C64 and another fullscale C64, a mini C64, and a micro C64. For the NES rebuild, my first build was at scale of the mini C64, but I found that too few of the bricks were used, and that a larger version could bring the C64 more to scale with the TV.

Further work
Below are som ideas for further work. Anyone are welcome to help!
- Make a 3D print of the Giana figure to replace Mario
- Do some cleanup of the internal layout and make the full instructions available on bricklink
- Check if there are enough bricks to also build a 1541, and use the printed brick as a floppy, rather than in a Cartridge
- Improve the Joystick connector
